  • Tell us about yourself! Did you graduate from A&M-Central Texas?
  • My name is Batoul Ibrahim, and I am a proud TAMUCT alumnus! I graduated with my BS degree in Biology, with a Biochemistry minor, with highest distinction in May 2022. I am currently a PhD student in Biology at Texas Tech University.

  • Tell us about your time at A&M-Central Texas
  • I had a successful learning journey at TAMUCT. I gained important skills from my teaching and research experiences at TAMUCT, which enriched my personal and professional development, such as communication, creativity, and leadership. I learned so much from my professors, and I worked on an interesting project for my capstone thesis. I am happy to say that my time at TAMUCT was valuable!

My favorite part about attending TAMUCT was being instructed by experienced and supportive professors that are always willing to help students succeed. Also, my professors supported my long-term goals, and it feels so great that even after I graduated, I still receive the same support and advice from them when needed.

  • Tell us about any awards, scholarships, or work (past or present) that you are proud of.
  • Batoul IbrahimBesides several scholarships, I earned the “TAMUCT Biology Award for Academic Excellence” upon my graduation.

During my undergraduate, I was the only biology tutor on campus, so I was able to positively influence numerous students. I was happy to interact with students who boast diverse backgrounds and capabilities. I helped students in many aspects that include addressing questions related to course materials to enhance students’ understanding and knowledge, providing effective study skills to improve students’ test and overall grade point averages, and assisting students to write their lab reports to advance their scientific writing skills.

  • Tell us anything else you’d like to share!
  • I am happy to share a fond memory, which is being featured in the local news, the Killeen Daily Herald, in April 2022 for my academic achievements at TAMUCT. It was gratifying and humbling to read the newspaper article that especially quoted my undergraduate professors about me. I will always be proud to have been a member of the TAMUCT Biology family!
