A&M-Central Texas’ accredited 12-hour Information Systems Certificate for graduate students informs managerial- and executive-level business leaders with the knowledge and skills needed to guide or develop enterprise IT strategy, telecommunication systems, database management, IT project management, and the design and development of management techniques that apply to the entire IT system life cycle.
The course provides a comprehensive introduction to the management and use of information and technology as resources to create competitive organizations, manage global operations, and provide useful products and quality services.

In four focused courses delivered in 8-week semesters, students learn important skills, practices, and principles for information systems management, including:
- Understanding intellectual property, privacy, organizational and societal impact, legal issues, ethics, security issues, decision making, strategic information systems, and organizational support systems.
- Building from fundamental concepts and principles of data analytics, and its role supporting organizational decision making and predictions. Special emphasis is placed on trends, challenges and applications, analytic methods, tools, technologies, infrastructure and strategies for data analytics and data management including data privacy and ethics.
- Examining and understanding system analysis and design processes. Study include comparative development methodologies and modeling tools, including project management and cost-benefit analysis; information systems planning and project identification and selection; requirements collection and structuring; process modeling; conceptual and logical data modeling; database design and implementation; design of the human-computer interface; system implementation; system maintenance and change management.
- Understanding the methodologies of database management, including data models, database design, normalization, SQL/ PLSQL, NoSQL, performance and reliability, distributed database, data dictionaries, data integrity, security, and privacy.

Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees for the undergraduate and graduate certificates are based on the number of credit hours taken per semester, and are approved for federal Title IV financial assistance.
Installment Payment Plan options:
A&M-Central Texas offers an Installment Payment Plan each semester to help you with paying for current-term balances. The IPP breaks your tuition and fees into four (for Fall and Spring semesters) or three (Summer semester) payments due throughout the semester, with a one-time, non-refundable service fee of $20 and the first installment due on the first day of class.
