Dr. Steve Moog is an Assistant Professor of Anthropology in the Department of Social Sciences at Texas A&M University-Central Texas. He earned a BA from California State University San Marcos, and his MA and PhD from the University of Arkansas.

Dr. Moog conducts research on do-it-yourself (DIY) ethics and anarchist philosophies enacted in the punk scenes of Indonesia. His current book project ethnographically explores the intersections of punk, anarchism, and globalization in the city of Bandung. His research interests also include multimodal and collaborative anthropological methods, specifically DIY zine-making as an ethnographic tool. Dr. Moog teaches cultural anthropology courses that include punk and anarchist pedagogies to create inclusive and hands-on learning opportunities.
