Dr. Jennifer Moore, PhD, LPC


Dr. Jenn Moore is an Assistant Professor and is currently serving as the School Counseling Certification Program Coordinator at Texas A&M University–Central Texas. Additionally, she is the advisor for all our school counseling certification students.

She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Texas State University in San Marcos, TX, a Master of Education in School Counseling from Texas A&M University–Central Texas in Killeen, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Counselor Education & Supervision from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Moore is a Licensed Professional Counselor and Certified School Counselor in the state of Texas.

Dr. Moore has worked in the education field for the past 12 years working at all levels of education. With a background in teaching middle school and school counseling at both the elementary and high school levels, Dr. Moore now teaches graduate-level courses. Additionally, Dr. Moore has maintained a clinical license since 2017 working with individuals, couples, and family clients ages 4-65, including working in schools as a school-based therapist. She has been working with graduate students in counseling since 2022 teaching courses related to both clinical mental health and school counseling. She currently teaches courses in school counseling, career counseling, methods, psychopathology, and mental health internships.

Dr. Moore also engages in research with an interest in school counseling, executive functioning, trauma counseling, and counselor education.
