International Admissions
- Minimum GPA
- Undergraduate transfer: 2.0 cumulative transfer GPA on a 4.0 scale
- Graduate:
- Full Admission: 3.0 GPA or higher earned at the time of degree conferral, or on the last 60 hours of coursework completed, to include all courses in the semester where the 60th hour occurs.
- Conditional Admission: 2.5 GPA to 2.9 GPA earned degree or on the last 60 hours of coursework completed, to include all courses in the semester where the 60th hour occurs. Conditional admission (GPA 2.5 to 2.99) requires student to complete 12 semester credit hours with a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher to earn full admission and permitted to continue.
- Undergraduate transfers must have a minimum of 30 academic, college-level transferable semester hours.
- Applicants pursuing an Applied Science or Aviation Science degree may meet this requirement utilizing select workforce education credit from an approved Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree upon completion of 45 hours, to include all general education courses within the AAS.
- GRE/GMAT testing requirements are currently waived or deferred.
- Must be eligible to return to all previously attended colleges or universities.

Steps to Apply
Step 1: Submit Application
Complete and submit an international admissions application by visiting www.applytexas.org.
- Undergraduate students must select “transfer” application.
- Graduate students must select “graduate” application.
Step 2: Submit Transcripts
A. International Transcript Evaluations
Applicants with international college or university coursework are required to submit a course-by-course evaluation with GPA and designation of level for each course from a NACES or AICE member.
A&M-Central Texas recommends SpanTran or International Education Evaluation to complete the evaluation. Get started using one of the links below.
For graduate school applicants, the transcript must bear the date of bachelor’s degree conferral indicating the applicant was in good standing in at the last institution attended.

B. Official U.S. College Transcripts
Applicants must submit official transcripts from all U.S colleges and/or universities attended.
Step 3: English Proficiency Requirements
Demonstrate proficiency by completing one of the options:
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL)
- Undergraduate minimum score of 69 (internet-based) or 520 (paper-based test) or 190 (computerized).
- Graduate minimum score of 80 (internet-based) or 550 (paper-based) or 212 (computerized).
- International English Language Test (IELTS) minimum score of 6 (applies to both undergraduate and graduate admissions).
- Completion of six semester credit hours of English composition (ENGL 1301 and ENGL 1302) with a grade of C or better in each course.

F-1 Visa Information
If you plan on studying at Texas A&M University-Central Texas on an F1 Visa, you will be required to request an I-20 once you are admitted.

If you are already in the United States on an F1 Visa, you can request to have your I-20 transferred to A&M-Central Texas. You will need your PDSO/DSO at your former institution to complete the second half of the form. Please have their contact information ready.

Medical Insurance
Fees for medical insurance will be charged with tuition at the time of registration after full admission.
International students are required to purchase and maintain approved health insurance while enrolled and attending a Texas A&M University System institution, unless the student provides proof of coverage that meets waiver requirements.
