A&M-Central Texas Showcases Faculty Research Summit

A&M-Central Texas faculty gathered last Friday, Feb. 7, to showcase their respective research in a faculty forum sponsored by the university’s faculty senate.

The half-day event included lunch and learn sessions and a series of panel presentations showcasing each of the faculty members’ most recent research in an interactive format designed to highlight their respective areas of expertise and making it accessible to their respective colleagues, staff, and students.

Faculty Senate President, Lynn Greenwood, Ph.D., emphasized the importance of high-quality professional development for faculty whose presentations included not only an overview of their research but also the teaching and learning strategies they deploy for the benefit of their students.

The senate awarded 25 faculty representing all three of the university’s colleges a $400 scholarship each for presenting their research activities. Named by college, the recipients from the College of Business Administration included Khaldoon Dhou, Vinay Gonela, Deepti Gupta, Kirak Daniel Kim, Ran Li, Abhijit Nag, Ankita Singhvi, and YeongJoon Yoon.

The recipients from the College of Education and Human Development included Hao Min Chen, Felicia Holloway, Coady Lapierre, James Lewing, Malin Lilly, Andria Schwegler, Madelyn Shell, Kendal Ann Smith, and Yu Lun Tai.
