Friday marked the end of the Staff Appreciation Week at Texas A&M University–Central Texas, a time when administrators, directors and the Staff Council celebrate the individuals who make things happen on campus.
For the seventh consecutive year, the Staff Council sponsored the week-long celebration, offerings special events designed to educate, inspire and entertain staff members in unique ways that provided a brief respite from the typical daily grind.
Events included everything from massages by Anthony Chiropractic to a virtual simulator set up by the university police department to test employees’ skills in scenarios based on real-life situations. There were also LinkedIn profile and resume reviews, as well as sponsored lunches and activities like hikes across the 672-acre campus, art bus crafts, a cornhole tournament and special treats served up by local vendors.
A&M–Central Texas employees are back at work this week as they help student enroll for summer and fall classes. As the state’s only upper-level university, A&M–Central Texas focuses on helping student complete their undergraduate degrees and pursue masters-level programs.
