Treatments

Vardenafil

Treatment Summary: Men who had not previously used Vardenafil (Levitra) were given a one week single 10 mg dose. Those who had response to the drug then participated in a twelve week double-blind test where they received either the 10 mg dose or placebo. They were required to keep a daily diary of sexual encounters profile (SEP). The SEP consisted of questions of attempted sexual activity and quality of erections. Two hundred and sixty were given 10 mg weekly dose and two hundred and sixty three received a placebo. The drug was generally well tolerated and 80.8% vs. 32.3% respectively responded favorably on the Global Assessment Questionnaire.
