2020 Theme: African American Intellectual Tradition

This year's theme highlights African Americans throughout history who demonstrated profound critical thought and philosophical ideas. Programming includes a Black History Month Film Festival and the annual African American Lecture Series.

African American Lecture Series

The African American Lecture Series is an annual celebration of Black history sponsored by Central Texas College, the Center for African-American Studies and Research at Central Texas College, and the College of Arts and Sciences at A&M-Central Texas. The event showcases the significant impact and contributions of African Americans and features both prominent and lesser-known achievements in different aspects of life in American history.
