About the Foundation

The Texas A&M University-Central Texas Foundation was formed in 2007, established by The Texas A&M University System, with one goal in mind: provide scholarship opportunities to A&M-Central Texas students.

In the years that followed, the Foundation has raised more than $7.7 million, mostly dedicated to student scholarships awarded to hundreds of deserving students.

In 2019, the Foundation is providing critical funding for scholarships, faculty fellowships, staff development, research and economic development, and educational program development.

The Foundation is a qualified 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and gifts to the Foundation are managed in cooperation with The Texas A&M University System via a Shared Services Agreement.

Mission: The A&M-Central Texas Foundation identifies, cultivates, and solicits philanthropic support for the University, extending our mission of accessibility, affordability, scholarship, research, and recognition.

University Affiliation: The Foundation has Shared Services agreements with A&M-Central Texas and The Texas A&M University System. Via these agreements, the Foundation designates the System as its fiscal agent and the University provides staff, administrative support, and related services. This shared relationship ensures that traditional overhead expenses are minimized, making it possible to extend the value of every donation.

Tim Harris
"I grew up in a military family, so I have always had a warm spot in my heart for those who protect our country. And I love the mission of educating young people, but particularly our returning soldiers who are wanting to further their education to return to the workforce, when they complete their service term. Education is the key to success for young people, and that coupled with the military focus of A&M-Central Texas felt like a calling to me."
Tim Harris, former Board Secretary
