Keeping Your Trust
Texas A&M-Central Texas and the University Foundation are committed to the charitable goals shared between our donors and the University we support. We maintain the highest ethical standards, philanthropic practices and management standards for each gift.
We value every charitable contribution, regardless of size, and are dedicated to serving our donors, representing the best interests of each gift, and working openly, honestly, and wisely.
Donor Information
We honor the privacy and the confidence of our donors, only sharing gift information to the extent allowed by the individual donor.
On a semester basis, endowment reports are provided to our endowment donors. Similarly, scholarship gift donors will routinely receive updates regarding the recipients of their scholarship gifts, news and informational updates from the University, as well as invitations to special events.
Financial Reports
As a member university of The Texas A&M University System, we are required by law to report charitable donations on a quarterly basis via the GDGE (Gifts, Donations, Grants, Endowments).
This report is prepared by the Advancement Office and forwarded to system officials through the University Chief Financial Officer.
Management of Gifts
Every gift, regardless of size, is managed with the same care and appreciation. When gifts are made to the University, we:
- Accurately record, provide receipts (for tax purposes) for and acknowledge each gift.
- Distribute outright gifts to programs or services according to the donor’s direction. Typically, scholarship gifts are awarded on an annual basis.
- Invest endowed gifts to realize long-term growth and provide an enduring source of support for the program or service, as designated by the donor.
